In-House Laboratory Testing

With the help of advanced laboratory equipment, we can run a large number of diagnostic tests on your pet’s blood, urine, fecal matter, or serum to screen for health issues and identify their cause. Heartworm disease, intestinal parasites, white blood cell count and more can be evaluated through our in-house laboratory. Additionally, we can obtain results from these tests in as little as 20 minutes, which is crucial for pets in urgent need of treatment.

High-Definition Digital X-Ray

Our high-definition digital X-ray equipment has several advantages over traditional film X-ray, not least of which is its ability to produce a clearer, more detailed image of your pet’s bones and other internal structures. This diagnostic imaging tool transmits small amounts of radiation through your pet’s body to create an image, and is perfectly safe. With digital X-ray, we can look for bone fractures, foreign bodies, tumors, and abnormalities of the heart. If necessary, we can send X-ray images via email to outside specialists.

Pet Ultrasound

Ultrasonography, or ultrasound, bounces sound waves off your pet’s internal organs and surrounding tissues, and the resulting echoes produce a moving, real-time image. As with X-ray, ultrasound is completely safe and non-invasive, and will not cause your pet any discomfort. With ultrasound, we can diagnose and check the progress of pet pregnancies, study the shape, texture and function of the internal organs, look for fluid in the abdomen, and search for benign or malignant growths.
